Credit Controller

Millnet Limited has an opening for a Credit Controller to work within our Data Services Team. Working in a lively, fast moving environment, this role will be integral to the sales team and finance team and as such, candidates must be well organised, have fantastic attention to detail and have excellent communication skills.

As a Company that has grown considerably in the last few years, we have decided to split this role and add another person to the team. The candidate will work closely with the current Credit Controller but unlike most credit control roles, will not fall directly within the finance team. Instead, this person will sit amongst the sales team and work with them daily to follow up on overdue invoices. Our clients are predominately law firms and as such, we will generally be chasing the fee earners rather than the accounts payable departments. The candidate will therefore need to be comfortable speaking with lawyers by phone and email and must possess the excellent organisational skills required to keep track of matters.

Key Responsibilities – this is not an exhaustive list

  • Communicating with clients daily to follow up on invoices that are both overdue and nearing payment
    due date.
  • Working with the sales team to keep them updated on the status of their accounts.
  • Working with the finance team to manage daily cash receipts and allocations accordingly.
  • Assisting with the rollout of new debtor recovery software and keeping this updated daily.

Minimum requirements

  • There will be daily contact with clients, so excellent written and spoken English is necessary.
    Professional phone manner.
  • Attention to detail is paramount to ensure that all data entry is accurate, and all client‐facing documents
reflect the high standards that Millnet require.
  • G.C.S.E. or equivalent, English and Maths required.
  • Experience of Microsoft Office is essential.
  • Credit control experience would be an advantage but not necessary as we are willing to train someone
who is keen, enthusiastic, and committed to the role.

Salary dependent on experience
